This happened during Dr. Hala Al-Saeed’s meeting with Dr. Mahmoud Mohieldin, United Nations Special Envoy for Financing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and Chairman of the National Jury of the Smart Green Initiative , which takes place under the auspices of the President. Sisi.

For his part, Dr. Mahmoud Mohieldin, United Nations Special Envoy for financing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and president of the national jury of the Initiative, explained that the initiative has received much praise from development partners at the regional and international levels during the The previous two sessions, which resulted in a large number of distinguished and appreciated projects at the local, regional and international levels, he explained that the initiative had succeeded in combining the centralization through the direct sponsorship of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and his coordination through. the presidency of the Council of Ministers and the efforts of the relevant ministries, and decentralization through the efforts and great contributions of the governorates and local agencies within the different cities and villages in all regions of the country.

Ambassador Hisham Badr, Deputy Minister of Planning for Strategic Partnerships, Excellence and Initiatives and Chairman of the initiative’s organizing committee, confirmed the success of the initiative in attracting distinguished projects to participate in a way that contributes to finding local solutions within the Egyptian governorates for environmental problems, highlighting that the first session of the initiative saw the participation of around 6,300 projects, and around 5,700 second cycle projects, in the six categories of the initiative, noting the participation of the winning projects in both cycles in a number of international events, the most recent of which was participation in the Conference of the Parties to Climate Change in the Emirates COP28, calling on innovative project leaders and entrepreneurs to participate in the third cycle of the initiative with their various projects. ..
