The association’s figures do not include the huge income the world champion receives from commercial deals, agreements and sponsorships from companies like Adidas and Apple.

Messi signed his last contract with Spanish club Barcelona in 2017, a four-year contract which gave him the opportunity to earn 138 million euros per season, including salary and bonuses.
