The forum was an opportunity to review the most important projects proposed by the Ataa Fund to support and empower people with disabilities, as well as sustainable financing mechanisms, since the Fund is a pioneering and unique entity that was created to bring effective and influential change to the world. quality of life of people with disabilities to enable them to live independently and access their full rights in all aspects of life and to obtain equal opportunities with their non-disabled peers. The Fund stands out for its guarantee of continuous financing, as no disbursements are made. funds initially invested, but rather the resulting returns. These returns are also allocated across many different entities, projects, areas, regions and disabilities to ensure the highest returns are achieved for people with disabilities.

It should be noted that the Fund has managed to finance more than 20 projects in 23 governorates with 26 implementing partners and more than 130 partner associations. The Fund supports various types of disabilities, such as autism, visual, motor, hearing and mental disabilities. , learning difficulties and people with multiple disabilities. In total, beneficiaries have reached more than 9,000 people with disabilities and more than 8,000 members of their families.

Hearing was also restored to 820 beneficiaries through the provision of replacement parts for the external parts of the cochlear implant and the provision of artificial limbs to those who lost a limb to 280 beneficiaries.

In the area of ​​economic empowerment, the Ataa Fund supported field schools for people with intellectual disabilities in Minya governorate, where it managed to train more than 105 people in age groups ranging from 12 to 45 years old , where their capacities were strengthened and qualified. to work, produce and earn their living, and their projects were delivered last April, the second phase of schools began for 120 new people, and as for community-based rehabilitation, 7,606 disabled children were integrated and qualified to through 46 units serving 180 villages.

The Fund also adopted the idea of ​​“Towards Inclusive Egyptian Universities” by preparing and making available colleges in 3 Egyptian universities, namely Ain Shams, Menoufia and Zagazig Universities.
