Dory Rushen | Asian qualification “decided”… Al-Ahly crushes Abha by five

Shooting – The first football team of Al-Ahly club defeated its guest Abha with a score of 5-1 in the thirty-second round of the Rushen League.

Al-Ahly hosted their guest, Abha, at Al-Jawhara Stadium, who are struggling to avoid relegation to the Yellow League.

The match was judged by Hungarian international Tamás Bognar, in the presence of a large crowd.

Al-Ahly’s series of goals was opened by Firas Al-Breikas, in the eighth minute.

Before the end of the first half, Ziad Al-Juhaini added Al-Raqi’s second goal in the first minute of stoppage time.

In the second half, Al-Ahly continued to impose its control on the course of the match and scored the third goal thanks to Samihan Al-Nabit in the 73rd minute.

Then Al-Raqi added the second and third goals with the duo of Riyad Mahrez and Franck Kessieh in the 85th and 87th minutes.

In the first minute of stoppage time, Abha scored a face-saving goal thanks to goalkeeper Edouard Mendy’s friendly shot.

With this victory, Al-Ahly’s score rose to 61 points, clinching third place in their favor and officially qualifying for the Asian Elite Championship next season.

While the defeat increased Abha’s injuries under the leadership of his coach, Pitso Mosimane, and his fate is still up in the air until the final rounds due to relegation.
