Egypt’s representative to the Security Council noted that Israel’s control over the Palestinian side of the Rafah crossing has made it impossible to resume humanitarian work, exacerbating the suffering of civilians and exacerbating the crisis.

The Egyptian delegate to the Security Council added that “Israel has aimed since the start of the war to make the Gaza Strip unlivable”, stressing that this approach considerably worsens the humanitarian situation.
