The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, represented by Dr. Heba Youssef, Director of the Ministry’s Country Program Monitoring Unit, participated in the second meeting of the working group concerned by the project on the characteristics of direct investments foreigners in Egypt prepared by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, with the participation of Dr. Iman Mansour, Head of the Investment Policy Sector and Director of the Center for Investor Dispute Resolution at the General Authority for investment and free zones.

Dr. Heba Youssef stressed the importance of regional and international cooperation, highlighting the efforts of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development in the Middle East and North Africa (OECD-MENA) initiative to improve trade and investment flows in the region.

Various government agencies related to foreign direct investment, entrepreneurship and innovation participated in the meeting, including the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency, the National Women’s Council, the Authority General Authority for Industrial Development, the Information Technology Industry Development Authority, the Center for Entrepreneurship, Technology and Innovation, and the Center for Industrial Modernization, the Industrial Development Authority exports and the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics.
