Major General Ashraf Al-Daoudi, Governor of Qena, held an expanded meeting to discuss the establishment of a new headquarters for the regional blood bank in Qena Governorate, which will help save a lot of effort and of time, to facilitate services for donors and to develop mechanisms for distributing blood units.

This took place in the presence of Dr. Hazem Omar, Deputy Governor, Hossam Hamouda, Secretary General of the Governorate, Dr. Muhammad Badran, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Doaa Muhammad Ibrahim, Director of the Regional Bank blood, and a number of executive leaders in the governorate.

Al-Daoudi stressed that the idea of ​​establishing a headquarters for the regional blood bank aims, as a whole, to provide safe and pure blood to all different groups, and to provide all means of comfort to those who hesitant, whether patients or donors, and to maintain the strategic stock of blood bags of different types, and the building will include four departments (donation service – derivatives service – serology service – drainage service), and a treatment unit will be planned, and plasma collection will be discussed, focusing on the need to take into consideration the preparation of patient waiting areas and the need to ensure that the location meets sanitary conditions and complies with specifications required.
