Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, represented by the Center for Applied Innovation and the company pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca Egypt, regarding participation in applied research projects using artificial intelligence and emerging technologies to develop innovative digital solutions to address major challenges in the field of healthcare.

The cooperation agreement was signed by Engineer Raafat Hindi, Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology for Infrastructure Affairs, and Dr. Hatem Wardani, President of AstraZeneca Egypt Pharmaceutical Industries.

The agreement stipulates that the Applied Innovation Center of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology will cooperate with AstraZeneca Egypt Pharmaceutical Industries to explore and implement research projects using advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning to support data generation and early disease diagnosis. This is part of plans for the new AstraZeneca Center for Healthcare Innovation, which will be part of the AstraZeneca-affiliated global A.Catalyst network.
