The National Corporation for Desert Land Reclamation and Cultivation is currently cultivating 740,000 acres in the Toshka, East Al-Owaynat and Ain Al-Dala regions, while continuing to implement the company’s future plans in 2024, the size of the area recovered. the East Al-Owaynat region will span 280,000 acres. The company is implementing a date project, in the Toshka region and east of Al-Uwaynat, as part of a broader vision that aims to plant 2.4 million palm trees, particularly varieties for export, as date products are characterized by their high price value, which gives them other strategic products, while more than 19 varieties of dates are produced, the distinct types (Al-Majdool, Al-Barhi, Al-Sagai and Al-Sukkari).
