The President of the International Court of Justice said that the living conditions of residents of the Gaza Strip have deteriorated considerably, stressing that the ground attack launched by the Israeli occupation on Rafah continues and has led to a new wave of travel.

Nawaf continued: “Israel did not provide sufficient information to guarantee security and peace during the evacuation of citizens from Palestinian Rafah. An immediate cessation of Israeli military operations must be implemented, particularly in the Palestinian area of ​​Rafah.

The President of the International Court of Justice explained, during the plenary session of the Court at the Peace Palace, in the Dutch city of The Hague, that the Court considers the military attack against Rafah as a dangerous development which increases the suffering of the population, adding that there are around 800,000 people who have been displaced from Rafah since the start of the ground attack on May 7.

He stressed that the Israeli occupation must refrain from any action that could pose a threat to the Palestinians, stressing that the temporary measures taken do not fully address the consequences of the evolving situation in the Gaza Strip.

He stressed that the current circumstances in the Gaza Strip require modifying the court’s decision issued on March 28, explaining that Israel must submit to the court within a month a report on the measures it will take, explaining that Israel has not provided enough to ensure the safety and security of those displaced from Rafah to Al-Mawasi.
