For his part, Ahmed Diab, president of the Club Association, said in exclusive statements to “Masrawy” that what happened was an “electrical short circuit” that led to a limited fire, adding: “This is a compelling circumstance that will lead to a replay of the match, and the new date of the match will be announced after the end of round 28 “The current”.

He explained: “The match will be replayed in its entirety, depending on the decisions that preceded it, whether it is a player arrested for expulsion or accumulation of cards.”

Based on this article 42, if the Smouha Club refuses to replay the match on the date to be decided later, sanctions will be applied.

Text of Article 42:

A – Incompleteness of the match: – Matches played during the day in the event that the lighting is insufficient to complete the match, the team responsible for the delayed start of the match is considered beaten by a score of 2/0.

B – In the event that a match is disrupted before its conclusion in a manner that prevents the referee from continuing the match due to the entry onto the field of supporters of the team whose supporters caused the disruption of the match and a riot took place.

C – The offending team is considered defeated with a score of 2/0 In the event of a power outage lasting “45” continuous or intermittent minutes in matches played under lighting, or in the event of poor lighting such that the match referee is unable to finish the match, the team owning the stadium is considered defeated with a score of 2./0 Regardless of the outcome of the match, a power outage is not considered a force majeure circumstance.

1- In the event that a match is disrupted before its end due to circumstances of force majeure: – The match will be repeated on a date determined by the Competitions Administration.

– If one of the teams refuses to replay the match on the new date, penalties will be applied.
